Superb Canton silk hand embroidered coverlet panel, circa late 1800-early 1900, featuring a turquoise background with an overall floral design, a centered peony, bordered with flowers in vases and bat motifs in vibrant shades of reds, greens and orange. The coverlet is made in two panels and measures 54" x 77". The linen backing has been removed showing only border remnants. The condition is near mint with minor fading of the background color. This piece is a beautiful combination of colors, design and workmanship.
