Tea for two. A sweet diminutive Continental .800 silver solitaire size three-piece tea set in the French style, comprised of a a stylized square shape teapot, creamer and covered sugar bowl, all on raised feet,made by Jakob Storck & Louis Sinsheimer, Hanau, Germany c.1874-1926. Each piece has exquisite repousee work comprised of three centered Putti playing in a garden, surrounded by a scrolled border of cherubs, floral and ribbon swags. Acanthus leaf handles decorate all three pieces. The rectangular shaped spout of the pot is designed with scrolls, lyre and flowers. The sugar bowl has gilt lined interior. Flower shaped knob handles adorn the lids of the teapot and sugar bowl. WT: 22 oz. Measurements: teapot 5 1/2 tall X 7” from handle to spout; sugar 4 1/2“ tall X 4 1/2” wide; creamer 3 1/2" tall X 4 1/2" wide. Near perfect condition; missing one ivory spacer on teapot handle. A rare find! (Hard to photograph the intricacies and beauty of this set.)
