A whopping 3” long x 1-5/16” wide, these stunning copper earrings from a Chicago area estate are sure to be admired whenever you wear them. Though unsigned, they were obviously hand-crafted. Made in two parts, the lower segment of each earring swings from a pair of jump rings, they're set with 4 cabochon stones that look like amber. Gold colored wire beaten square(possibly real gold) ornaments the stones, which measure 11 mm round. Some sort of wash has been applied to the copper surfaces, to vary their color.
Such a unique item is impossible to date with precision, but I judge by the post backs that these earrings don't have a great deal of age. My guess is 1970s. Their condition is excellent.
