Small shell-shaped bowl or dish from Fielding in Staffordshire (from 1905 = Crown Devon). So-called Vellum glaze with a satinized surface, the decoration printed and hand-painted. Marked 648631 for the year 1915. Width "5 ¼ / 13.3 cm. Condition: crazing to the glaze and a few chips to the underside of the rim (cf. pics).

Cup and saucer transfer printed in blue with the “Temple” pattern of a Chinese seascape and pagodas. Caughley, Shropshire, c 1780. Shropshire’s old Roman name was “Salopia” and the cup is marked with an S in underglaze blue. Height of cup "2 ¾ / 7 cm, diameter of saucer "5 ½ / 13.5 cm Condition: small nick to the gilt rim of the saucer, at 6 o’clock in the last photo.
