A jar with underglaze blue decoration of a variation of the classic cracked ice and prunus pattern (or hawthorn). The pattern was first used in the Kangxi period around 1700 and reappeared in the late 19th century when China experienced a revival of the Kangxi style. Fruit preserves and ginger were exported in jars like this. Height "5 ¼ /13 cm. Condition: two short fire cracks at the mouth (cf. pics).
