Stoneware bowl by Annikki Hovisaari (1918-1974) for Arabia, Finland. Of rough structure, chamotted, the white clay with numerous dark specks and covered by a thin, matted glaze. Incised signature AH and Arabia. Height "2¾/ 7 cm, diameter "4¾/ 12 cm. Condition: fine.

An Arabia Finland stoneware bowl, the inside with glazed decoration of a shrimp. 1960s, signed Arabia and NH (?) Width: 6 " / 15 cm. Condition: some iridescent and matte imperfections to the glaze in the centre (less evident than on the photo).

Vase by Danish manufacturer Hjorth, c 1920-30. Grey stoneware, decoration of Art Déco scroll work in “flow” copper red under beautifully crackled glaze. Probably by Hans Hjorth. The Hjorth Terracotta Factory, now part of the Bornholm museum, is still working in the same premises where it was founded in the 19th century, still using the same equipment. Impressed deer mark (Hjorth is Danish for deer). Height "5¼/ 13 cm. Condition: fine

Nice triple relish ensemble by Axel Bruel (1900 - 1977), consisting of a trefoil-shaped centre piece with knob handle, and three plates. Decoration of vigorously painted flower sprigs in green over White, 1950's. Diameter of plates "6¾/ 17,5 cm, width of centerpiece "10¾/ 28 cm. Condition: a glaze flake to the edge of the knob, otherwise fine.

Generous redware teapot by Dybdahl, Denmark, 1960’s. The inside, the spout and handle, rim and lid with a smooth transparent glaze, the rest unglazed. Impressed, stamped decoration of little masks or stylized sun faces. In the studio of Palle and Margrethe Dybdahl Margrethe did the wheel throwing and the decorations and Palle the glazes. The teapot takes 1.2 litres and pours well. Width spout to handle "10 / 26 cm. Condition: some roughness around the spout.

A Danish stoneware jar by Per Linneman Schmidt for Palshus, 1960's. Cylindrical, the interior glazed in a speckled grey and brown, the exterior with a dark brown glaze, leaving some stripes and the horizontal border unglazed. Diameter "5¾/ 14,5 cm, height "3¼/ 8 cm. Incised marks Palshus, Denmark, PLS, 403 and painted D. Condition: fine.

Two beautiful and very thinly potted bowls by Sven Hofverberg in his experimental studio in south Sweden. One gold glazed to the interior, the other with an iridescent interior glaze in red and dark blue. The exterior of both with incised striations. The incisions of the smaller bowl are iridescent. The works of Hofverberg (1923-1998) always demonstrate his aim for perfection and concern for the glazes. The gold bowl is unmarked, the smaller bowl with incised SH...

A pair of small vases by Nils Kähler, Denmark, 1960’s. Stoneware, partly polished, partly glazed in olive green over carved decoration: zigzag to one vase and stripes to the other. Marked HAK for the family pottery Herman A Kähler, Nils and Denmark. Height "2 ¼ / 6 cm. Condition: fine.

Gunnar Nylund for Rörstrand, Sweden, c.1960: glossy lime-green stemmed bowl with relief-moulded decoration of a sunflower. Impressed factory mark and GN. Width: “5 ½ / 13,5 cm, height: “2 ¾ / 7 cm. Condition: fine

Salad-size stoneware bowl from the Danish Hjorth factory, c 1920 to 30. Light grey glaze and Art Deco stylized floral decoration in blue to the exterior, the interior with a central ornament in blue, yellow and brown. Height "4½/ 11 cm, diameter "7½/ 19,5 cm. Impressed marks: L.Hjorth, deer mark, Denmark and Z 50 (model number?). Condition: wear to rim and some glaze blisters.

A hanging basket for flowers, by Kähler, Denmark, c 1920-1930. Slip glaze decoration typical of Kähler, with swirls in black, blue and brown over white, the glaze of a glossy, "watery" look. Three glazed holes for chains. Unmarked. Diameter "6½/ 16,5 cm, height "4/ 10,5 cm. Condition: chip and glaze wear to rim, some wear also to the green-glazed interior.

Candle holder or small vase by Liisa Hallamaa for Arabia, stoneware, the upper part with eruptive glaze effects. In 1950 LA joined the Arabia company, where she became a great experimenter and innovator of glazes before opening up a studio of her own in 1971. Signed LH Arabia. Height "2 ½ / 6.5 cm Condition: fine.

Francesca Mascitti Lindh for Arabia, double-handled jar, 1960s. Shape referring to the Bronze Age. Height: 3 " / 7, 5 cm, width: 6 1/2 " / 16,5 cm. Condition: part of the rim restuck and a glaze chip on the side has been refilled.
