Brutalist bracelet made up by five large cast, sawed and oxidized sterling silver links. From Finnfeelings, the firm of Sten & Laine, Turku, Finland. Marks: the dented small mark of Finnfeelings, 925, A (city mark for Abo /Turku), year mark U7 = 1973, Finland and Swedish importation mark. Length when clasped "7 ¾ / 20 cm, width "1 1/3 / 3.4 cm, weight 52 grams. Falls smoothly around the wrist. Condition: fine.

A double-handled and lidded soup bowl or ecuelle, decorated all over in Famille rose colors with reserves of fleur de lys and peony on a cod roe background within diaper borders in turquoise. Burl wood and silver bowl, used for Tsampa, the traditional Tibetan porridge, and for buttered tea. The silver lining plain, the exterior with chased and delicately engraved decoration of flowers. Tibetan silver normally lacks hallmarks and this bowl tested for a silver content of 925 /1000. Probably antique, late 19th or early 20th century. Diameter "4 ½ / 11 cm, height "2 ¼ / 5.7 cm. Condition: fine.

Six footed little cups, tasses à glace / sorbet or ice cream cups in the model used by Sèvres from c 1750 up till around 1800. Because of their sparse decoration the cups go well with more richly decorated porcelain. Slight variation in the gilt and molding of the handles, and in height: four of the cups "2 ½ / 6.3 cm and two 6.5 cm. All probably from around 1780. Victorian gold pendant, carefully wrought to resemble a gnarled piece of wood - an example of the naturalistic style often seen in jewelry of the 1860's and 70's. A tortoise shell and sterling silver inlay cigarette box, the interior cedar wood. The underline of the text with makers mark for Saunders & Shepherd (the firm founded in 1869 and still working), town mark for their Chester branch and L for 1894. Measures "4 / 10.3 cm x "4 / 10 x "2/ 5 cm. Condition: slight warping to the corners of the lid (cf. pics).

Very decorative French Art Nouveau walking stick, c 1910. Forming the handle is a silver plated lady’s head with flowers in her hair and flowing tresses. Total length "36 / 92 cm.

An exceptionally small Japanese tea or wine bowl and saucer, Edo period c 1710. Blood and milk iron red and gilt decoration of butterflies, flowers and swirls. Height of cup 1 ¼ " / 3.2 cm Diameter 2 ¼ "/ 5.5 cm, of saucer 3 ½ "/ 8.8 cm. Condition: repair to the saucer, the cup with a nick to the inner side of the foot rim (c.f. pics).

Eight dinner plates transfer printed in blue with the Wild Rose border and Nuneham Courtenay pattern, early to mid-19th century. The park at Nuneham House near the Thames was designed by Capability Brown. Two stoneware tiles from the “Fritte” range, designed by Aldo Londi and produced by Bitossi in the 1950s for Illums Bolighus, famous design department store in Copenhagen. Impressed fish motif with fused glass – Italian “fritte” – one in Rimini Blu, the other a light olive green. Aldo Londi was the artistic leader of Bitossi. Victorian hinged bracelet made by Bernhard Hertz. Surprisingly modern design of two rope ends, one polished and gilt, the other appears to be twisted. The surface of the bracelet is matted, satinized. BH was a well-known jewelry designer working in Copenhagen and in Stockholm at the turn of the century 1900. Signed BH. Stoneware vase by Arne Bang around 1940, with an applied twig of flowers and a very light matte glaze. Signed with the AB monogram and 184, the model number in Bang's sketch book. Height "3 ½ / 9 cm: Condition: some roughness to the underside of the second flower, otherwise fine.

Chinese export dish or flattened bowl, Yongzheng c 1730. Enameled decoration of birds, flowering peony and a garden rock in the Famille rose palette with some accents in gilt. Two Milchglas or Lattimo mugs made in Bohemia or South Germany c 1800. Both are gifts of friendship: one with Zum Andenken (Souvenir), the other Aus Achtung (Out of Respect), the dedications surrounded by wreaths of roses and other flowers. Cut edges with “reinforcement” glaze. Width “14 ¼ /36 cm, height “1 ½ /4 cm. Condition: restored flake to border and small rim chip, otherwise fine.
