Two Italian modernist (1950’s) pieces, enamel on copper, obviously by Paolo De Poli (1905-1996). The little dish of irregular shape, the bowl with flatted sides and resting on three bronze legs. The interior of the dish in shades of pale blue and pink, reminiscent of mother of pearl, the interior of the bowl a lighter pink. The exterior of both items black and speckled, allowing for the copper to shine through in order to create a golden effect. The dish marked with a small metal sign, stamped P. de Poli and Made in Italy, the bowl unmarked. Width of dish "3¼/ 8 cm and of bowl "4/ 10 cm. Height of dish "½/ 1,5 cm and of bowl "2¾/ 7 cm. Condition of dish: fine, of bowl: two minimal nicks to the border (cf pictures).
