A red crackle-glaze / Rood Cracquelé stoneware vase from De Porceleyne Fles in Delft, c1960. Under-glaze red decoration of barb and starfish. The Porceleyne Fles factory (now known as Royal Delft) is unique in that it is the only still existing of all the ceramic factories that flourished in 17th century Delft. Signed with the flask (fles) mark, the shape of which indicates a date around 1950. The red under-glaze decoration was introduced in 1947 by Cornelis Hartog. Signed with painter’s monogram HT or TH. Height "16 ½ / 17 cm. Condition: fine.
