A French opaline dish, finger bowl and lidded box. The dish with gilt decoration of flower garlands and an à la grecque border, c 1820-30, the bowl undecorated, c 1840. The lid of the little box too with some decoration in gilt. Box and dish with polished backs. The “bleu céleste” of the dish, so much en vogue in Sèvres porcelain of the period, is a little lighter than the other pieces. Diam. of dish: "6 ¾/17 cm. Height of bowl: "3 ¼/8 cm, diam. "4 ¾/12 cm. Diam. of box "2 3/4/ 7 cm. Condition: rubbing to the gilt, and the dish has two restored rim chips (cf photos).
