This is an amazing pair of very large Japanese Cloisonne vases. These were most likely created by Ando or Hayashi Kodenji They are 18 inches tall by 10 inches wide and are in excellent condition. This is extraordinary because most large vases have some sort of damage. The intense bamboo, flowers and bluebird work is done in the Hayashi style. The birds have gold wires but the remainder of the work is done in several sizes of silver wires. The rims are silver. Due to the large size these vases were very difficult to photograph. In person they are more slender in appearance and are far more impressive.
