This is a beautifully decorated large 12 inch Japanese Satsuma vase from Kinkozan. It is a unique and rare piece because of the gold wisteria decorations. A fabulous vase that is in overall excellent condition. At one time it was made into a lamp. The drill hole has been masterfully restored. It is signed on the underside with an impressed mark and was never signed in gold in the center bottom. In fact, one of the finest Kinkozan pieces I have ever come across was only signed with an impressed mark. This vase is shown on my cover page. It has been listed at a very reasonable price. Without the drill hole this vase would at auction in the $6000-$7500 range.
