Japanese seihakuji (blues white porcelain) plate by Kato Tsubusa, was born in Tajimi Gifu prefecture in 1962.

Measurements: 25” (63.5 cm)
It is in good condition except for a few kamakizu (a scar or crack that happens in a kiln) in the bottom.
Comes with tomobako (original wooden box).

Japanese wooden lacquer suzuribako (writing box) is decorated in makie with design of autumn leaves.
Some leaves are made of inlaid mother-of-pearl and metal.

Japanese colored-glaze porcelain vase by Tokuda Masahiko (1933 - 2009).
The artist signe “Kutani Masahiko” on the bottom.
Masahiko succeeded the name, Tokuda Yasokichi III, in 1993.
Yasokichi III was one of the world’s famous Kutani potters and was designated a Living National Treasure in 1997.

Signed artist name "Renzan Gantoku” and sealed.
Kishi Renzan (1804 - 1859) was born in Kyoto and studied under Ganku.
His artistic talent led him to succeed to Kishi school as adopted son of Ganku.
Ganku (1749 - 1838) is the founder of Kishi school and particularly known for his picture of tiger.

Taigen is the head priest of the Obai-in sub-temple of Daitokuji.
The Enso (Zen circle) is a symbol of complete spiritual enlightenment and true mind.
Muichimotsu means nothing, aloof from both dimensions of existence and nothing.
