Japanese novel design lacquer carved pattern suzuribako was made by Yoshida Goro (1923 - ).
Signed "Goro saku (made)" on the base.
Yoshida Goro has be accepted the Nitten ( Japan Fine Art Exhibition ) many times and be active in Kyoto.
Measurements : 11 3/8" (28.8 cm) x 8 7/8" (22.7 cm) x 1 7/8" (4.8 cm)
It is in good condition, except for two very small repairs on the cover of the suzuribako and the water-dropper is a bit fusty as seen in the photos.
Comes with tomobako (original wooden box) and the reverse side of the lid say "Yoshida Goro made, 1975 Spring".
