Portrait miniature of a lady, circa 1850. Features a very attractive woman in cap and red dress with white fichu and white shawl in a gilt wood frame. Frame is backed with the original paper. Condition: Good. Needs cleaning (spot of dirt on one cheek). Small gaps at top and bottom. Measures 3 1/2 by 2 3/4 inches (sight size 2 1/2 by 1 3/4 inches).

Wonderful 19th century gilt metal chatelaine on a ring, comprising a gilt metal double fruit knife, ribbon puller in the form of a stork (with a mummy case but no mummy!), a mummy case with a mummy inside, a pencil holder (with pencil), and a scent bottle (no stopper). There's light wear to the gilt on the high points, but it's a charming antique piece -- a mix of Egyptian revival and art nouveau that works! A lovely mid Victorian garnet and 12K gold brooch, an oval with a raised boss, set with seven oval-cut garnets and scroll leaf detail, on a molded mount with garnet highlights (12) and gold bead detail. The reverse features a glazed locket compartment lined with blue fabric. C-clasp and tube hinge. Measures 1 3/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches. Condition: very good; a few dimples to the "fans" at left and right.

A lovely pair of Art Nouveau enamel pansy earrings, in low carat gold. The pansies are colored in impressionistic purples, with yellow centers set with a pearl. Condition: very good.

Fabulous Whiting & Davis dresden mesh purse, circa the 1920'a. Classic deco pierced frame; beautiful bright colors in an abstract pattern; mesh and fringe intact. Snake chain; original silk lining with pocket. Large size; measures 9 1/2 inches from fringe to clasp and 5 1/2 inches wide. Condition is excellent.

An English school portrait miniature of a lovely young lady, wearing a white dress and a blue shawl, circa 1810. Set in a gilt metal mount backed with purple card, she measures 2 1/8 inches high. Condition: very good; small blemish to edge of glass at 3 o'clock.

A portrait miniature in enamel, French School, circa 1720. The sitter is an extremely beautiful lady with powdered hair, wearing a lace-trimmed black dress and red mantle. She is set in a silver frame with a brooch-clasp attachment and blue enamel reverse; measures 1 1/8 inches tall. Condition is very good: there are a few very narrow retouched scratches in the surface of the enamel at the sitter's neckline, together with a very minor chip on her neck.

A 19th century English portrait miniature in watercolor, set in a silver frame, with a hair reverse set with paste stones. The sitter is a lady with lovely red hair, wearing a white lace fichu, gold earrings and gold brooch. The reverse is spectacular: two gorgeous feathered curls of her deep red hair on white silk under glass, surrounded by a border of small paste stones. Measures 2 1/2 by 2 inches. Condition is excellent; one paste stone deficient.

handsome Victorian swivel fon: one side is bloodstone, and the other is a similar dark hardstone (I haven't yet identified it!). Metal band encasing the fob is marked 9K; the housing is gold filled. Measures 1" by 7/8". Condition is very good.

Superb Victorian garnet bangle, set in vermeil, circa 1870. The bracelet is comprised of a single row of luscious garnets, terminating in a seed pearl and garnet flowerette. The clasp has been replaced, partially obscuring the original owner's engraved initials. There are repairs and some wear to a few of the flat prong settings, but all stones are stable. Someone cared enough about this bracelet to maintain its beauty -- and with good reason! It looks wonderful on the wrist! Measures 1 15/1...

A wonderful cased Victorian turquoise, half pearl, and 14K gold brooch, circa 1890. The brooch is designed as a belt, with the central buckle set with turquoise and pearls. Measures 1 1/2" long. Excellent condition; the pin is a little bent.

A charming French cut steel beaded purse with a multi-tone rug design in shades of gold, silver and bronze, circa 1900. The purse features an intertwining fringe, a double chain handle, a patterned goldtone frame and a white satin lining. The frame is marked "Made in France". Condition is very good: the beads are all present and tight to the frame. The fringe is missing one string, and there may be some dirt or discoloration on some of the other strings. Mid 19th century table worked hair brooch in the form of a flower with three drops. The hair is work over a hard core in various loops and spirals; the dangles have a European look to them. Reverse is an old c-clasp. Excellent condition. Measures 2 1/2" by 1 1/8".

Adorable little framed Victorian beadwork picture, featuring a central cross, anchor and heart (for faith, hope and charity), under a bow, and surmounting a pansy (remembrance). Later wood frame with oak veneer. Measures 5” by 3 ¾”; sight size is 3 ½” by 2 ¼”. Condition is very good – frame has a few nicks and scratches.

Super hardstone intaglio hard stone fob, set in gilt metal, depicting a man contemplating an object in his hand. Later o-ring. Measures 13/16”. Good condition.

Exquisite 19th century garnet brooch, set in 18 carat yellow gold. Three sections (one circular flanked by two teardrop) set with faceted garnets surrounded by ornately carved bezel and beading. Very good condition; a few small chips to stones; collapsing safety catch a later addition. Measures 1 ¾”.

Adorable 19th century butterfly bar brooch, in 14 carat gold and silver. The silver butterfly is cunningly made with a diamond for its body; there are four tiny diamonds on its wings. The butterfly is applied to an engraved 14K gold bar. Excellent condition; pin on reverse is a bit tarnished. Measures 2 1/8”.

Beautiful Edwardian diamond and pearl ring, in 18 carat gold. The ring is designed in a semi-crossover style: 3 lovely pearls set in gold are surrounded by crescents and shoulders of diamond chips set in silver on gold.. The effect is elegant and delicate! Ring is in great condition. Size 7.
