A wonderful 1830's ladies' reticule with a little bit of everything! The purse is fashioned of cream satin and decorated with chain stitched floral embroidery, moss green and dusky pink velvet bands , gold metallic lace, spangles, and beads. The best part is a flip down bottom which hides a mirror within. Green silk lining. There is shattering to the cream silk, especially on the sides. 7” by 7”.

Absolutely fabulous 19th century chandelier seed pearl earrings. The top florettes feature drilled mother-of-pearl backs to which the pearls are fastened by horsehair; the balls and chandeliers appear strung with silk. This gold Georgian band packs a lot of family history into a very small package! It is both a wedding or engagement ring and a mourning ring. The inscription on the interior reads: “ACD to DBM May 7 1807”. Added later, the inscription continues: “to ACD died Aug 23rd 1838 aged 54”. The outside of the band is engraved “Desier 1897”. Tests strong at 14K. Good condition. Ring size 6.

The reverse of the ring is inscribed with an image of forget-me-nots, a common message of affection on early jewelry. Fabulous all original Georgian flat cut garnet luckenbooth, or witches heart, set in silver. A luckenbooth is a heart-shaped love token named after the Luckenbooths, or locked booths, where they were sold, in the Royal Mile near St. Giles Kirk in Edinburgh. Georgian mourning brooch, enamel on 14k gold, with central glazed hair compartment. Brooch reads “In Memory Of” on the front in gold on black enamel. Reverse reads :”Peter Cadman/DIED/ 11th Oct. 1833/Aged 68”. Very good condition; some mold deposits on hair. Measures 1 1/4" by 1".

Handpainted portrait miniature on porcelain of a young girl holding a small dog, set in a gilt metal frame. Her dress and hair are typical of the Biedermeier period; she wears a red dress with white collar and a blue shawl, and her hair is styled around her ears. She stands next to an ivy-covered wall and before a background of trees and cloudy sky. Probably German. Measures 1.5 inches by 1.2 inches. Condition: very good.
