A portrait miniature in enamel, French School, circa 1720. The sitter is an extremely beautiful lady with powdered hair, wearing a lace-trimmed black dress and red mantle. She is set in a silver frame with a brooch-clasp attachment and blue enamel reverse; measures 1 1/8 inches tall. Condition is very good: there are a few very narrow retouched scratches in the surface of the enamel at the sitter's neckline, together with a very minor chip on her neck.

The rosy cheeked youth wears a white waistcoat, white chemise with stickpin, black stock, and black coat, the collar edged in white or light blue piping. The imposing gent wears a blue coat with gold buttons, white waistcoat, and tied white cravat with a garnet or ruby stickpin. He is posed rather grandly in a chair, by a column. An unusual and fine watercolor and needlework portrait, circa 1800, worked in colored silks with painted details on an ivory silk ground, depicting a lady in ermine-trimmed robes, leaning on a tomb in a wooded landscape.
