Early 20th century Austrian petit point wallet featuring a figural group of adults and children at a village well. The stitchery is very fine. Labeled “made in Austria”. Excellent condition. Measures 3 1/4” by 2 7/8”.

Fantastic delicate and diminutive 19th century Victorian metal and silk thread knit purse with ornate gilt mount and gold beaded tassel. Excellent condition; one loose tassel loop. Measures 3 1/2” (not including tassel) by 2 1/8”.

A wonderful 1830's ladies' reticule with a little bit of everything! The purse is fashioned of cream satin and decorated with chain stitched floral embroidery, moss green and dusky pink velvet bands , gold metallic lace, spangles, and beads. The best part is a flip down bottom which hides a mirror within. Green silk lining. There is shattering to the cream silk, especially on the sides. 7” by 7”.

Beautiful antique beaded child’s cap with green silk lining, possibly Turkish. The abstract beadwork motifs are bright; the edging is couched in metallic thread. Excellent condition.

Attractive antique beaded reticule, featuring a crystal field worked in a sinuous nouveau design of blue vines and flowers. A large letter “M” decorates one side. New white lining; interesting cinched loop fringe. Measures 8 3/8” by 6 3/4”.

Superb and rare antique needlework pocket on canvas, probably Pennsylvania Dutch, dated 1852. 18th and 19th century pockets took the place of purses; they tied at the waist under skirts and aprons and held anything from keys to money to sewing supplies. The contents were accessed by a vertical slit at the front. This is an amazing piece of folk art: the cross stitch motifs include a stag lying beneath a tree, hearts, flowers initials, and a dog. Fantastic 19th century dance card, probably Austrian, comprising an assemblage of mountain climbing gear, suspended from a chatelaine hook by a blue silk cord and topped with a chenille tassel. The front features what I believe is either a snowshoe or a ski carrier, complete with buckled leather straps, under which lies an ice axe crossed with a trekking pole. The card cover is in blue silk with the original pencil; the pages are empty...

Fantastic antique finely knitted white cotton children’s socks with a lacy pattern, and ribbed and ruffled tops. They were never used – they even have the original finishing threads intact. Perfect condition. Measure 10 1/2” from toe to top; foot is 5 1/2”.

Pretty little 19th century micro beaded reticule, featuring a central floral wreath, with pink, blue and yellow blossoms. Sawtooth border at header, abstract border at the bottom, and looped fringe feature amber-colored beads. White silk lining. Good condition: two loops missing; lining is shredded at the top. Measures 5” by 4 1/8”.

Delicate 19th century netted and beaded cotton baby cap, with a blue petal motif at the crown, basket design in the middle section, and thin blue beaded border at the edging. Threaded bows and ties. Very good condition; one repair; one or two loose threads.

This is a sweet little purse with an interesting provenance. It’s made of a lovely woven pink patterned silk and features a ruby and diamond clasp. Inside, there are two cartes de visite, which hint at its ownership. The first is a card inscribed “Madame Edouard de Heller/Princesse Clementine de Saxe Cobourg Gotha”. Fantastic early 19th century double-sided petit point flint case with steel frame and cut steel fastener. The front depicts two rabbits and a floral spray; the back features a spaniel. Brown silk lining; black braided piping and fastener loop. Excellent condition. Measures 2 1/2” by 2 1/4”.
