This gold Georgian band packs a lot of family history into a very small package! It is both a wedding or engagement ring and a mourning ring. The inscription on the interior reads: “ACD to DBM May 7 1807”. Added later, the inscription continues: “to ACD died Aug 23rd 1838 aged 54”. The outside of the band is engraved “Desier 1897”. Tests strong at 14K. Good condition. Ring size 6.

Lovely 9k gold Georgian mourning ring, featuring a glass compartment containing plaited blond hair, surrounded by tiny seed pearls. Carved, reeded split shoulders and shank. Very good condition; one chip to glass; wear to gold on reverse of ring head. Size 8.

An antique 9k gold bloodstone fob seal with an intaglio crest featuring a lion rampant bearing a shield, surrounded by crosses. The fob case features a reeded and scrolled setting, with central grape motif. Good condition; wear commensurate with age. Measures 1”; seal face is 3/4” by 9/16”.

Unusual 19th century Continental gutta percha cameo, depicting a woman in the gabled head dress common in Medieval or Renaissance Europe. The cameo is in deep relief and suspends a jet Maltese cross flanked by two gold balls. Rich deep brown color. Old c clasp and watch hook on the reverse. Very good condition. Cameo measures 1 1/2”.

Stunning Georgian era sentimental ring, probably French, featuring blue paste set with a gilt and silver rosecut diamond flower, surrounded by a border of tiny rose cuts. The reverse of the ring is inscribed with an image of forget-me-nots, a common message of affection on early jewelry. Carved scrolling gold band marked 585 at a later date on the band exterior, per European regulations. Very good condition; some wear to glass. Asymmetrical leaves appear to be original. Ring size 4 1/2”.

Absolutely fantastic transitional Victorian 14k gold bracelet, featuring a gem-set bug sitting on a blue enamel leaf. The little bug is set with diamonds, opals and rubies; the bracelet’s shoulders are intricately carved; the vivid, serrated leaf is entwined with sinuous tendrils. Enamel is in perfect condition; one opal is a very white replacement; some discoloration to gold on interior; two spots of light filing on exterior where gold was tested (not by me!)...
