Whiting and Davis deco enamel mesh child’s purse, in colors of orange and pear green. Van Dyke fringe. Good condition; enamel on a few tiles is worn, especially under shoulders of frame; wear to silver tone frame. Measures 4 3/4:” from clasp to fringe; frame is 3 1/4” wide.

Interesting antique crimson silk, sequined and metallic thread purse; I am told by a specialist that this is Indian for the Chinese market. Fish and flower motif; red drawstring wrapped in metallic thread. Several loose or unraveled threads. Measures 5 ½” by 4 1/8”

Adorable pair of antique blue leather baby boots, with matching dyed fur trim. Wonderful stitched detailing, braided pull, and cotton lining. Light soiling and wear to soles. Measure 5 1/8” talk; soles are 4 3/4”.

A rare arts and crafts hand tooled leather clutch purse circa the 1920’s, by Bosca. What makes this purse so unusual are its color and condition. The purse is an indigo blue, an extremely rare color for arts and crafts purses. The design features sinuous art nouveau flowers set in a geometric deco motif. This purse has never been used and is in perfect condition. Green suede lining with original indigo change purse, three compartments (one secret and locked) and two pockets (one zippered)...

Attractive art deco beaded purse, featuring a flower and leaf design, circa 1930. Background is a deep brown; design and accents are worked in green, blue, gold, bronze and an array of pinks. Brown silk lining and mirror are original. Faux tortoise frame. Excellent condition, except for a few missing beads on the handle. Measures 5 7/8” by 6”.

These are two very interesting pairs of art deco beaded bands – I’d say they were garters except they are not stretchy enough. Both sets are worked in dazzling glass beads: one pair is shades of pink with a central buckle panel in pink sequins and outlined in plate thread. The second pair is worked in purple and gray, including the central circular buckle panel. Excellent condition. Pink measure 14”; purple and gray measure 13 1/2”.

Superb quality doubled-sided petit point purse, featuring men, women and a child relaxing in pastoral settings. On the front, five courtiers chat in a beautiful garden the shading and detail are so fine, you can see ruffles and other details of dress. The reverse features a man, woman and child in a garden amid statuary; the man’s sword identifies him as a soldier. Gilt metal and marcasite frame. Butter silk lining...

Charming French silk-stitched clutch purse, featuring a shepherd presenting his shepherdess with a rose; she has a lamb on a silk lead. The reverse features a landscape with flowers, trees and a gothic ruin. Watered taupe silk lining. Excellent condition. Measures 8 1/2” by 6”.

Rare child or doll’s enamel mesh purse from the 1920’s, in pink on a white ground, probably Mandalian. The design is comprised of a bird on a branch surround by a floral border. The purse was obviously well-used: there are losses to a total of five tiles, the frame shows wear, and is could use a clean. Very collectible. Purse measures 3 1/2”.

Gorgeous antique metallic and silk embroidered purse, featuring a scene of the Three Graces (and a swag of roses) beautifully worked in the finest petit point. The ground is a bronze metallic thread; there are vines and flowers stitched in pale blue and pink silk. Lined in taupe silk. Excellent condition. Measures 6 1/4” by 4”.

Gorgeous deco Whiting and Davis mesh purse, featuring double walled round armor mesh. The purse features a double layer of metallic silver mesh, with a floral pattern in blue, orange and yellow. Great enamel fringe, also in orange and blue. Mesh is in very good condition; a few dropped links at the frame terminals; only two fleabites to enamel panels on frame, but silver metal is worn, Twist chain handle. Measures 6 3/4” from clasp to bottom.

Fabulous and unusual Whiting and Davis deco mesh purse, circa the 1920’s, featuring a Chinese motif in bright colors of yellow, black, red and blue. Mesh is in mint condition; some wear to frame. Measures 6 1/2”.

I love finding enamel mesh purses in patterns I’ve never seen before! This diminutive Whiting and Davis purse, circa the 1920’s, features an art nouveau inspired design of a deep blue bow swag, outlined in black and dotted with salmon pink flowers. Lovely floral pierced metal frame. There’s some wear to the enamel, especially on the fringe; dirt to the frame; and some dropped links under the frame. Measures 5 1/2”.

Lovely 1920’s Whiting and Davis purse, in the finest Dresden mesh. Pretty peacock colors of purple, green and red. Very good condition, just a little wear to the mesh in a few spots. Measures 6” by 3 1/2”.

Gorgeous Mandalian deco mesh purse, featuring an ornate cathedral frame and bird of paradise design in blue, black, orange and white. Excellent condition; one missing piece of fringe. Measures 8” by 3 1/2”, including fringe.

1920’s Whiting and Davis deco mesh purse, featuring an abstract design in interesting southwestern colors of blue, orange, yellow and brown. Architectural silver tone frame. Good condition; one loose link on back; frame shows wear. Measures 6” by 4”.

Pretty and unusual Martha Washington mesh reticule, circa the 1920’s. This purse was modeled on an embroidered reticule carried by Martha Washington during her husband’s first inauguration in 1789. This purse is in excellent condition; there are one or two chipped links, silk header and liner are in great shape. Drawstring rings show wear. Measures 9” by 3 1/2”, including fringe.
