New Orleans watercolorist , Byron Levy has been painting for the past 50 years. He has studied with a number of the leading watercolorists in the United States including Edgar Whitney, Terry Madden, Milford Zornes and many others , including a number of workshops/courses at Tulane University, Newcomb College and the University of New Orleans. The New Orleans Times Picayune newspaper, in 1995, published a number of his works which had been accumulated over 150 sketchbooks . Levy has also been published by Watercolor, An American Magazine. He is also a member of the Louisiana Watercolor Society, the New Orleans Lettering Arts Association and the New Orleans Art Associaton. In 2005, he was awarded the LA Watercolor Society's Lifetime Achievement Award.
