Rare mustard caster made by Abner Reeder of Philadelphia and Trenton, New Jersey (c. 1800), 5 1/2" tall, hemispherical bowl on cast splayed molded foot, tight-fitting tall tapering cover, seamed with four engraved panels (two with diaper engraving centering simple holes and two with scroll piercing under snowflake-shaped design of simple holes capped with tear-shaped piercings), bell-shaped finial, marked twice underneath "A.R" (pellet raised) in rectangular punch on each side of center punch.
