A Rare Early White Porcelain Brush Washer Jar: Korea, early Joseon dynasty, 15th century This type of wide mouthed and narrowed foot rim jar with a greyish clear white porcelain is an example of the first efforts during the Korean early Joseon period to produce white ceramic wares, this early white glazed porcelain jar or bottle is rare as a Korean ceramics. It’s in good condition with a small piece of the mouth rim chipped, and has some darkish white glaze on the body during kiln firing. Measurements: 16.4cm x 9.4cm h. (6 ½” x 3 ¾”).
