A Rare Coin Charming Key Holder: Korea, Joseon dynasy, 19th century This traditional coin charms key holder fully embellished with 2 large tassels, ribbons and old Korean coins is unique and extremely rare as personal ormament for upper class ladies in Joseon dynasty. The charms were made of brass and was made sometime during 1800’s although it could possibly be even older, this side of the largest charm shows a large and very stylized Chinese Character “Shou, longevity” in the very center, and with image of two children holding wealthy, and the other side of the charm bears a big Chinese chracters surround the flower “Pear petal “ in the center and 5 bats with their wings are around the perimeter of the charm, and this charm displaying “Lion”, This key holder has too many accessorial ornaments to describe it. This is an almost perfect condition Korean key holder with few ornament missing probably. It measures 35 cm length including ribbons (the center charm;10cm x 10cm). ***Korean charms are much scarcer and frequently much more elaborate tha Chinese charms
