A Korean Very Fine Copper/Blue Decorated Peach-Form Water Dropper-19th C.
Korea, Choson period, Early 19th Century,
This is a very finely modeled/carved as a large peach formed water dropper
with two upright leaves carved in relief to the body and incised with short lines to delineate
veins with underglaze blue, the thick stem of the peach also molded
in relief to the body and arranged in a rough round stem to serve
as the base support, two floral spots in underglaze copper-red on the body,
foot rim unglazed. A tiny tip of spout repaired, otherwise very fine condition.
Measures 3 3/4” x 3 3/4”
