A Very Rare Highly Translucent Gray Jade with Two Lion Mask Eared Cup:
China, Ming or early Qing dynasy, 17th -18th century.
Of ineverted bell form with thinly sectioned walls, skillfully carved two lion head masks on the deep flared upper body, supported on a straight and set a high raised ring foot,
recessed base, exterior walls carved smoothly and shows beautiful natural brown russet and mottled white inclusions around body with highly translusent through out the body.
It’s in very fine condition. it measures 13.5cm ear to ear and 5.7cm high.
