A Very Rare/Fine Korean Punchong Bowl Painted with Fish in Underglaze Iron black-15th C.:
Korea, Joseon dynasty, 15th century.
Thin potted, shallow and circular formed bowl applied with light blue tinged, crackled and transparent white glaze over the surfaces evenly on interiors and exteriors, unglazed base with flat bottom, its high light is the large fish painted in underglaze dark black by a skilled patinter with patina in age and use. It’s in very fine condition but two small chips on rim,
it measures 13.3 cm d. x 3.5 cm h.
