Unbo Kim Ki-Chang (1931-2001):
Korea, mid-20th century, This Genre Scene painted by Unbo, Kim Ki Chang,
based on the original paining by Hyewon, Shin Yun-bok (1758-1814), later painted by the artist by Unbo, Kim Ki Chang, and "蕙園 作 (申潤福), 倣 雲甫-金基昶 sealed and written by the painter, with a seal reading "Kim Ki-chang in," ink and light color on paper, framed and glazed.
It’s in good condition, it measures 11 3/8: x 15 ¾” (29cm x 40cm).
***Provenance: Reputedly given to an American businessman in Korea in the 1950s; by descent to his nephew.
