A Very Rare/Fine Korean Dark Copper-Red Hae-Tae (Sea Lion) Water Dropper-late 19th C.: Korea, Joseon dynasty, late 19th century. An unusually very details carved the whole surface (body) is in the form of the Hae-Tae (sea lion) which is head-up seating with a long curling tail, front and back feet and legs with curl long hairs, its open round jaw forming the spout, decorated in iron-brown to long head-hairs and in blue to the ears, the body glazed with thin blue tinged white, partially glazed on the flat base. It’s in very fine condition but a firing crack on the bottom. It measures11.5cm long x 6.5m high (4 1/2” x 2.5”). ***An almost identical hae-tae water dropper see at I-Auction, Seoul
