An Extremely Rare Silver and Gold Fan-Shape Water Dropper: Japan, Meiji Period, late 19th Century This opened fan-shape water dropper is a very rare piece made for Imperial use in general. It is in pure silver and gold high relief with a huge, old plum tree, blossoms, and 4 cranes flying and enjoying around plum tree. It's a hallmark (pure silver) on the reverse and an incised mountain and sea scenes on the rounded side. There are 2 holes for water; in and out. It is in perfect condition without any damages. It measures 7.8 cm x 5.1 cm x 1 cm h (3 1/16" x 2" x 3/8" H).
