Miniature Buddhist altar for an ordinary family. It has a large one and a small one inside, both are made of wood and painted with black urushi. The buddha and the base is made of wood and painted in gold but the halo (kohai) is made of metal. It has handwriting in the bottom, "Kaei Gan-nen (1848)", very late Edo period.
