Pilgrim's hanten made of white cotton with many stamps of the sacred sites where the pilgrim visited. The sacred site is called "fuda-sho" where pilgrims have the temple collect their shakyo, hand-copied sutra and pay the nokyo-ryo, fee for the collection of the shakyo as a donation after a prayer, and they receive the stamp of the hoin in the nokyo-cho as well as on the hanten. The pilgrimage was carried out in Showa 44 (1969) and collected the stamp of the "Saikoku Sanju-san-kasho (33 temples)...

Rare item. Boro cotton kimono (yukata) whose original ground cloth is jishiro Narumi-kongata. It is hand-spun cotton with stencil-dyeing which is imitating shibori (tie-dyeing) made in Meiji (1868~1912). Other cloth are machine-woven cotton. The first half of the 20th century. Carp streamer (koi-nobor) made of cotton with hand-drawn tsutsugaki design which is magoi, black carp. Koi-nobori is flown on the Boy's Festival (or Child's Festival) on May 5th. According to the old Chinese legend, carp became dragons while they swim up waterfalls so that they are the symbol of strength and success. 20th century. It used to be the man's kimono, unseamed and washed (toki-mono).
