Kome-bukuro (rice bag) made of fragments which are hand-spun cotton and vegetable dyed. They are: stripes, checks, katazome and plain. Komebukuro was used when people exchange rice as gift or donated it to a shrine or a temple. It is made of many pieces of cotton cloth which are recycled from old kimono, furoshiki, futon cover and so on. Komebukuro had been used till 1920s and 30s. 19th century. Three pieces of baby's kimono, one is han-juban and one is kimono, both have cotton lining for cold season and one is unlind kimono. All are made of cotton with sekka shibori (board-clamp dye). Silk gauze obi (sash) cloth with shibori (tie-dye) pattern. It is vegetable dye with "shikon (root of purple grass)" that had been producd in Aomori and Akita prefecture till Edo period, however it was disappeared in Meiji. It was reproduced in late Taisho period (1920). This sash is for summer kimono. In good condition except for two slits (in the both rim (not from weakness but from original making). Asa (hemp) baby's kimono with kasuri pattern which is made in Omi near Kyoto and called Omi-kasuri. Weft kasuri threads are dyed with board-clamp dye. It has se-mamori in the back which is a charm with stitches and this one is boy's kimono as they are in the left as well as in the center (girl's one is in the right). This is a sakiori sodenashi ( vest ). Sakiori is a textile woven of shreds for wefts which are torn from old kimono, furoshiki, futon cover and so on. This sodenashi is made of natural indigo dyed cotton shreds for wefts and cotton threads for warps. It is heavily used, so it has wear and rips on the piping. Han-juban (short under kimono) which is made of several kinds of silk crepe, katazome (stencil-dye) and plain. All the pieces are recycled from used kimonos and beautifully remade into the han-juban. The silk crepe pieces are called "Edo chirimen" which are high quality soft silk crepe and dyed with vegetable dyes. Generally in good condition but has some dirt in the removable white collar. Hagi-isho juban made of many kinds of recycled silk cloth which are: silk crepe with katazome, shibori, plain silk, stripes and checks woven of wild silk.
