Cotton cloth with shibori design which is natural indigo dyed from Akita prefecture in Tohoku. Different from Arimatsu-Marumi shibori produced in Aichi prefecture, the design of the Asamai shibori from Akita is mostly pretty and subtle flowers or plants. The cloth is made of 4 fragments machine-sewn together. The first half of the 20th century. 34cm x 366.5cm (34cm x 30.5cm, 134cm, 116cm) The 1st and 6th images are most close to the real color.

Yumihari-chochin (portable lantern) made of wood for a brace. The lantern is made of bamboo strips, washi (Japanese handmade paper) painted with kaki-shibu (persimmon tannin) and thin wood and iron. kayaku-ire (flask, gunpowder case) made of wood with rare and beautiful urushi which was made in Tsugaru in Aomori prefecture. It is Tsugaru-nuri and a half is imitating "kaba-zaiku" which is handcraft of cherry bark and the other is "kara-nuri" which has tens of layers of urushi and it sometimes takes more than 6 months to finish.
