Cotton futonji with hand-drawn tsutsugaki tea utensil motif, which is made of hand-spun cotton and natural indigo dyed. It has tea utensils such as tea kettle, furnace, flower vase, fan, stone tea mill, tea whisk and so on. Futonji with tea utensils was mainly made in Sanuki in Kagawa Pref., Izumo in Shimane Pref., Iyo in Ehime Pref. where the tea ceremony has been popular. Sakkuri which is handwoven of hemp thread for warps and "okuso" for wefts. Okuso is by-product when hemp thread is made. It is not strong enough for warps. "O" means hemp and "kuso" means waste.
