Different from Arimatsu-Marumi shibori produced in Aichi prefecture, the design of the Asamai shibori from Akita is mostly pretty and subtle flowers or plants. Yumihari-chochin (portable lantern) made of wood for a brace. The lantern is made of bamboo strips, washi (Japanese handmade paper) painted with kaki-shibu (persimmon tannin) and thin wood and iron.
