Purse made of deer skin which has design by smoking with stencil on it. It is called "fusube-gawa". It has beautiful metal work of "Fujin" who is a god of wind and controles it. Fujin and Raijin, who controles thunder, is a popular motif and often seen in many art works and crafts. The most well-known one is "Fujin Raijin-zu Byobu (folding screen)" by Tawaraya Sotatsu. Small wooden urushi katakuch which is also called "Tengu chōshi" as it has long beak. It is used for sake ( Japanese wine ) or liquid. The outside is coated with black urushi and inside is coated with red urushi. Generally in good condition except for tiny chips and urushi came off in the bottom. Late 19th to early 20th century. Odawara chochin made of wash (handmade paper), copper and bamboo strips. The name "Odawara chochin" came from it was invented by Jinemon in Odawara (in Kanagawa Pref. now) during Kyoho period (1716~36). It is also called "futokoro chochin" as it is portable in the breast (futokoro) or in the sleeves of the kimono when one goes out. This one belonged to the doctor's.
