Futonji with maru-mon which are tsutsugaki round crests of auspicious motifs such as a crane, a turtle, bamboos, pine trees, plum flowers, cloves, scrolls, noshi, shells with sea weeds etc. The designs are dyed with tsutsugaki technique which is free-hand resist-dyeing using rice paste and dyed with natural indigo. Boy's kimono called noshime (silk) made in Edo period, which is a name of weaving technique with warp kasuri (ikat) between the horizontal border. Noshime kimono was worn by samurai in Edo period and worn by No drama performers these days too. Another feature of this kimono is it has uneven weaving in the indigo part called shijira-ori which is worn by older people, so that this kimono might have been remade from the grandfather's.
