Zanshi-ori is demestically hand-woven of leftover threads so that it makes unexpected beautiful result. It has multicolor of indigo and brown. Taiten shibori man's kimono. The warps for shortening are woven as the cloth is woven. The cloth makes gathering as the warps are shortened and dyed. This shibori was called Taiten Shibori and was very popular in early Showa period (1925s to 1930s), however once declined but much used as common shibori after 1945. 7 pieces of "saiho hinagata" which are miniature sewing samples. They were made by girl students at sewing schools from early Meiji (ca 1880) to early Showa (ca 1930s).
