Bashofu kimono with kasuri pattern whose wefts and warps are hand-plied. The kasuri pattern is called "Banjo" which means a capenter and it is a motif of his tool, a ruler. Kasuri yarn is hand-bound and dyed with sharinbai which grows in Okinawa and a family of rose and an evergreen shrub. The dye extracted from boiling chips of the shrub makes brown color...
