This is a set of "kaji shozoku ( fireman's coat and apron )" which is made of cotton with thick texture. It has three "Yotsu-me mon ( four square crest )" in the back as well as in the apron. It has cloud designs in the back and in the apron which symbolize water. The lining of the apron is kudzu-fu ( cloth woven of kudzu vine ). In good condition except for some rips, holes and some of the pipings of the rim are lost, also one of the ornaments made of cords in the top of the apron is lost. 19th century.
