This is a chuya ( day & night ) obi ( sash ) with katazome ( stencil-dyeing ) pattern. Chu-ya means day & night, so both sides of the obi can be used. The blue side is made of figured silk and the other one is plain weave silk. In good condition except for the several small dark brown spots. Early 20th century. 29.5cm x 3m76cm
