These are komebukuros ( rice bags ) made of several kinds of silk fragments with katazome ( stencil-dye ), shibori ( tie-dye ) kasuri ( ikat ) and brocade. The linings are hand-woven asa cloth. Komebukuro was used when people exchanged rice as gift or donated it to a shrine or a temple. In good condition. The latter half of the 19th century. L:51cm x 26cm M:26.5cm x 13.5cm S:9cm x 8.5cm
