Boy's kimono worn at the Omiya-mairi that is the ceremony going to the shrine one month after the birth. Parents and family express their gratitude and pray for the baby's healthy growth. This kimono is made of plain weave silk and hand-painted kabuto (samurai's helmet) and irise pattern which is the symbol of samurai. In good condition except for a few color faded spot in the upper front and the line in the lower back. The first half of the 20th century. 80cm x 102cm
