Two tsuno-bukuro which were used for the grain. They are made of asa (hemp) and whose selvedges are diagonally sewn together so that the bag is a bit stretchable. The warps as well as wefts are hand-plied. It has the owner's name and the place in Shiga prefecture. It has some mending stitches with white cotton threads and some stains. Late 19th early 20th century (mid Meiji period). Right:41cm x 126cm Left:44cm x 116cm
