Purse made of deer skin which has design by smoking with stencil on it. It is called "fusube-gawa". It has beautiful metal work of "Fujin" who is a god of wind and controles it. Fujin and Raijin, who controles thunder, is a popular motif and often seen in many art works and crafts. The most well-known one is "Fujin Raijin-zu Byobu (folding screen)" by Tawaraya Sotatsu. The fujin is hand-carved of copper and has silver inlay. He has a big bag with full of air. The purse has three pockets. In excellent condition except for some whitish spots on the top lid and the clasp doesn't work well. The second half of the 19th to early 20th century. 10.3cm x 10.5cm x 2cm
