Large furoshiki made of hand-spun cotton with tsutsugaki karakusa (arabesque) pattern. Tsutsugaki is the dyeing technique which is free hand drawing with rice paste for resist. It is dyed with natural indigo and vegetable yellow. Generally in good condition but has some holes and rips. Late 19th to early 20th century. 130cm x 144cm
