Ko-Imari (early Imari ware) saba-choko produced in Arita in Saga prefecture in Edo period. Soba-choko was used for food in older days, but it became used also for soba soup in which soba to be dipped later. The ko-imari were exported from Imari port so that it is called Imari ware. This one was made in mid Edo period (18th century) with hand-drawn grass pattern. In excellent condition except for the original flaws fron the kiln. Diameter of the top: 7cm Diameter of the bottom: 4.5cm Height: 5.5cm
