4 wood containers, a set of 3 nested pieces and one. They have urushi coated which is called "tamenuri". It is one kind of urushi which is vermillion or Bengara (Bengal red) is undercoated and after it is dry, suki-urushi (clear lacquer) is overcoated. The date when they are acquired is written in the bottom of the nested ones, that is Meiji 18 (1886) and also the owner's name. In good condition, no noticeable damage and crack, however they are not good for containing liquid. The largest one: Diameter 32cm Height 10.5cm
