Kasuri child's kimono, probably remade from woman's kimono. It is hand-woven of asa (hemp) whose wefts as well as warps are hand-plied. It has auspicious kasuri pattern such as turtle, pinre tree, fan etc. It was made in Ohmi in Shiga Pref. near Kyoto. Meiji period (1868~1912) The white cloth is thin wool muslin and has some moth holes, however in excellent condition as awhole. 108cm x 113cm
